Sick Player Stalling the Game
Hey all.
I've been running this game for a few months now. About 2 months ago we had to make changes. Which all players agreed to. The big ones were start time and game length. Because I have two players in school. Again everyone agreed to these changes.
Fast forward to the last two sessions. One of my players "wasn't feeling it". His words. Only explanation was he was sick. I try to keep up my players outside of the game. In case we have to cancel or whatever. I haven't heard from him or his son in about a week and a half. During the last game session he was very out of it. Very depressed sounding. He didn't really engage with anyone, including his son.
I've sent him messages, but I haven't heard from him. The other players are aware something is wrong, but don't know details. We might not play tonight's session if I can't get a hold of him.
If anyone has been through this, how have you handled such a player? I don't mind pausing the game until he feels better. I just want to make sure my other player are kept up to date with something too. They also asked about him too . Which makes me feel like I can trust them with a little insight. Not all his details, just enough for them to know he's OK.
Any thoughts are appreciated and welcomed.
