Renting an old home… help with bathrooms!

I know I’m limited due to renting! This is a beautiful home and it has its limitations. So how would you decorate these in a way that is fun and colorful but not tacky? I’m down to paint any of my own furnitures/add photos to the walls. Thinking of also adding curtains to the windows but need ideas on colors etc for the whole room! We like vintage / mcm interior design.
