Rear Tail Lights

Hi I have a new Facelift V2 two weeks old. I have started getting a "Check rear Tail lights" notification on the dash. The rear tail light bar is all working fine, what are the 2 vertical lights lower down inset either side of the bumper? They don't illuminate with lights turned on or fog lights on.
