Crystal Rogers: FBI asks public to help identify drivers in newly released surveillance photos
LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Investigators are hoping newly released photos will lead to more information in the disappearance of Crystal Rogers.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation released two new photos showing two vehicles of interest in the Crystal Rogers case. FBI spokesperson Tim Beam said the drivers of the vehicles "may have important information related to Crystal's disappearance."
Rogers, 35, was reported missing by her mother five years ago; she hasn't been heard from since July 3, 2015. The only suspect ever named was her boyfriend at the time, Brooks Houck, with whom she shares a child.
The agency hopes the public can help identify the drivers of the vehicles. Beam said the photos represent the results of a "growing dialogue" with the residents of Bardstown.
"By sharing important elements of the investigation, we hope this will increase the public's cooperation generating vital information in our pursuit of justice," Beam said.
The first photo shows a red SUV and a white SUV on 1064 Loretto Road, near Heaven Hill Distilleries in Bardstown. The FBI did not provide a timestamp for the photo.
The second photo, timestamped around 3:45 a.m. on July 4, 2015, shows a vehicle near the intersection of Balltown Road and Paschal Ballard Road.
On Thursday morning, more than 150 state and federal law enforcement officers were deployed to Bardstown, Kentucky, following an announcement that the FBI is taking over the high-profile case.
