[CHAT] Stolen imagery on Facebook shared from this sub

Hi all

Bit of a lurker (though very occasional poster and commenter here).

Just thought i'd raise a thing.

I've seen at least 2 instances (and potentially a third) in recent weeks of stolen / potentially stolen imagery on other social media platforms of people's work that's been posted in here.

We're not talking same pattern. Right down to image glare on frames or quirks of photos.

At least one of them was a sentimental piece.

Some may not have an issue with this sort of thing, but I know some would.

I don't know if much can be done about it as social media platforms are well known for scouring reddit for content.

But perhaps we can use this space as a place to discuss how we can prevent this sort of thing happening? Or at least make it less desirable to content bots/accounts?

Obviously we can stitch initials and such - but any other useful tips? Or is it just a 'well that happens' thing?

Keep up the great work, stitchers! Your pieces are beautiful!

Edit: I know some people do share on groups outside of reddit - that's great. But the fact is, content farming does happen and as the community here is great at sharing tips - it'd be great to have tips for those who want them.
