Man (Kristjan Serraj) Charged in Dangerous Driving Investigation, Ashbridges Bay Park

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a Dangerous Driving investigation.
On Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 9:31 p.m., police responded to a call for a Marine Rescue involving a vehicle that entered the water at Ashbridges Bay Park.
It is alleged that:
two people were in a vehicle that entered the water the male driver was able to exit the vehicle police arrived and entered the water in attempt to extract the female passenger with the assistance of the Marine Unit, the woman was extracted and transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries the 25-year-old woman later died in hospital On Monday, January 20, 2025, the driver of the vehicle, Kristjan Serraj, 23, of Oakville, was charged with:
Dangerous Operation Cause Death He was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in room 106.
This investigation is ongoing by members of 55 Division. Anyone with information, or who was in the area at the time and has dash-camera footage or video surveillance, is asked to contact police.
