Hero Bans in Pro OW
Please, let's actually present a united front on this so Blizzard Esports understands how big of a demand this is. 99% of the players and coaches interviewed like the system used in ESWC. 99% of the people I watch pro esports with want the system.
HOWEVER
I'm afraid that any time the meta is in flux a little bit, we have the delusion online that pro meta variety can somehow come from in-game balance itself, disregarding how unlikely it is in a game that allows mirror comps.
I'm afraid that too many commenters want to be "technically correct" about hero ban system reduce the theoretical ceiling of a given comp, regardless of the infinite viewing experience improvement, added strategic layer, and the fact that we will unlikely to ever see that theoretical ceiling which wouldn't be the esports most people want to watch anyway.
I'm afraid of Blizzard acting like they are smarter than everyone else, and taking way too long trying to come up with a "better" alternative system, when we have an almost perfect ban system proven to work in ESWC, one of the best OW esports events.
I'm afraid of silly counter arguments of "production delays" or "pro play will looking nothing like ranked" killing the movement, when we know from so many interviews that the production time increase is negligible since there are always other factors that needed that gap anyway, and the years of constant mirror-watch cannot be more dissimilar to ranked experience in terms of comp variety.
I'm afraid that even though almost everyone is at least supporting hero bans on LAN, not enough of a momentum is being maintained, because we were taking it for granted after Stage 2 that Blizzard will probably implement something, since everyone else is probably already saying something.
TL;DR Don't be the silent majority. Let's actually voice how much we need to try the ESWC hero ban system in OWCS and pro Overwatch going forward.
