YouTube keeps skipping back to start of queue

Not sure when this started, but it's relatively recent.

Every time I cast YouTube from my android to my Chromecast, the first video in queue plays with no issue. But when I add and play another video, it cuts off after 5min and begins replaying the initial casted video. even if I delete it from the queue, it will still replay it. makes it impossible to use app via casting.

It's a very annoying bug. I did a fresh install of YouTube on my phone and it's still happening. anyone experienced something similar?

Notes: -I have YouTube premium -I'm using a Verizon wifi router -All software is up to date
