Car ownership from financial perspective

So, we work from home and we bought an SUV 2023 December for ₹15.70L ex showroom and on-road price inclusive of all tax etc was ₹20L exact.

Currently, IDV for this SUV is 13L. Looks like depreciation of the SUV is about ₹2.7L.

Add to that the fuel cost of about ₹1L.

edit: I missed the sweet 7% bank interest for the 20L, which is ₹1.4L

Self insurance premium is about ₹25,000.

First year service cost is about ₹5,000.

net cost of ownership is about (2.7L+1L+0.3L+1.4L)= 3.3L 5.4L

That is about ₹9001500 per DAY of expense for the pleasure of owning an SUV.

I wonder if it is worth taking a taxi for those who wants a commuting vehicle like three times a week.

I'm not saying that car ownership is not worth it, but it may be a porch ornament/white elephant for some people.
