Overtime pay

I’m curious to know when other departments get their overtime checks every month and what the legal requirements are for paying the OT? The last department I worked for it was always before the 15th of the next month and was never delayed. My current position requires mandatory overtime but we never know when the OT check will hit and I even have a couple coworkers still waiting for OT pay from October. I am waiting on November’s OT check to finish buying the rest of Christmas presents but am worried they won’t post the checks in time. I’m a full time BU1 employee btw
