Just trying to exist, then I meet aboomer

So I pop into Walgreens the other day to grab medicine for my kid. As I'm walking out i see that they have 5ft skeletons for $30. If you are a skeleton connoisseur you know that's a great deal, so i grabbed one. As I was in the middle of checking out I was approached by a 65ish yr old man. The interaction went like this:

Him: Excuse me ma'am. Me: Yeah Him: are you buying that skeleton to give you incentive to lose weight? Me (floored at what he just said to me): why do you think that was ok to say to a woman, or anyone. That was so inappropriate.

He starts stumbling over his words. Then says: Ah ok, how about this

Me: no, I'm not going to continue talking to you, you just insulted me.

Him: oh wow! Followed by a chuckle that i didn't want to talk to him anymore.

I turned around, finished my transaction and walked out. I could hear him trying to get the checker on board with the audacity that I would no longer talk to him.

Just another day trying to exist as a woman in public.
