My Brother’s Crusade

This post is a bit personal. I know Black Templar players sometimes have a bit of a reputation given the nature of the faction. My little brother fits the bill well and he loves his Black Templar army I painted for him. He has a thing for the irl crusades, openly considering the Catholic priesthood, and spends way too much time correcting people when they say “happy holidays” with “Merry Christmas”.

But when I told my family I am transgender woman, a family that consists of college professors and white collar professionals, he and he alone affirmed me as a woman and his sister. And he’s passionately advocated for me and the validity of my womanhood, a task that sometimes seems like an eternal crusade.

I am immeasurably proud to have him as my brother. I am glad that my brother is a Templar player.
