Why is everything so gender specific, and why does it matter??
My husband and I are expecting a baby boy in April. We originally did not want to find out the gender, but I accidentally saw the report in MyChart and it got spoiled for us. We decided we would be the only 2 people that know the gender and we have told everyone else we don’t know and are waiting until birth as that was our original plan. It has been fun having his gender and name just for the two us as we prepare.
We are having our baby shower in February, and obviously people are asking us and then respond “oh so gender neutral stuff, got it.” When I made our registry I included a mix of “boy” and “girl” items for everything.
Am I crazy, or why is it such a big deal what color everything is?? I truly couldn’t care less if our newborn wears a pink onesie or has a pink boppy pillow. I just don’t understand the division and heavy focus on everything blue or pink. A baby is not going to care what they are wearing or using, so why does everyone else? No one seems to agree with my opinion of IT DOES NOT MATTER so just trying to understand what others think!
