Nurse spoiled the gender surprise

I'm at 38 weeks now and we've been planning to be surprised by the gender at birth. We've expressed that we don't want to know and everyone at the practice has been super respectful of that, until now.

At our 38 week appointment, the nurse slipped just as we were leaving. She said "don't worry, she will be here soon" and then doubled down with "baby girl is coming soon!"

My husband and I are obviously both EXTREMELY upset. The surprise was one thing that was super super important to us and now that's been taken away, right at the end of my pregnancy.

Yea, she could have been mistaken.. she could have been thinking of the prior patient. But still. It's not right.

Now we're both torn and kind of at odds about what to do. Do we call the office and explain what happened? Do we now choose to look at the NIPT results that we didn't want to open originally? Do we try to pretend that didn't happen and just carry on? Idk.
