xDrive40 vs M50 vs M3 G80 Base

My lease is about to end on my Polestar 2 and I absolutely know I'm going back to BMW for my next lease. And there's nothing like a healthy debate among strangers to help me decide on my next car.

For reference, I do have a L2 charger at my house. It's very rare I do public charging so I'm not worried about public infrastructure in my area. So my quandary is whether to keep doing electric (the xDrive40 vs M50), or with the manual transmission being near extinct, go back to an ICE car and get the M3 for one last hurrah.

Has anyone else had a similar struggle trying to decide in the electric family between the xDrive40 or the M50? I know you're giving up range for the extra power, but is the extra power noticable on the M50?

And did anyone consider an M3 when trying to decide to make the jump to electric? Any deciding factors other than the cost of gas?
