Looking into getting my first ‘sporty car’ - considering two options
Coming out of a 90bhp 2015 VW Polo, both of these seem to be pretty good value for money with great interiors. This will be my first sporty car but due to the long distance driving I do (anywhere from 200-500 miles a week), petrol costing a small fortune in the UK and insurance costing a kidney it really limits my options to the 4 cylinder BMWs.
I’ve narrowed it down to these: - 2021 M235i xdrive GranCoupe - £24k - 2019 X2 M35i - £24k Both examples are approved used.
I also considered the X3 M40d but realised it’s probably more car than I need and that I frequent in and around the ULEZ zones and with the plan to keep this car at least 5 years…but probably closer to 7, I don’t know the opinion on Diesels and if low emission restrictions will be tighter by then.
I’ve also looked at various relatively quick Volvos, Audis, Mercs and VWs but with either the seats not being a good fit (I’m 5ft2 with all my height in my lower leg so a lot of the deeper seat pans don’t work), insurance being too much, cars being a little too pricey or just simply not liking them.
