Is a 'Staycation' a holiday in which one goes on holiday in their own country, or taking time off work to stay at home?
I think before the pandemic it used to mean the latter: "I'm taking some holiday, I'm staying at home, maybe I might see people, maybe I might play video games for a week"; but nowadays I people using it as "Oh I'm taking the 4 hour train to St. Ives and spending a week in an AirBnB! Just a nice staycation!"
