Vocational School/Handyman training?

Hey Reddit. After miserably failing to mount my new TV to the wall, I decided it's time for me to learn how to better be "handy" around the house.

Are there any schools, classes or centers that my teach this sort of stuff? I live in Brooklyn and work a 9-5, so it's not like I want to make a career out of it. Thanks!
