What’s the appropriate term to refer to the entire community/population of non straight/non cis people?

I apologize in advance if I use an offensive term anywhere. I really don’t mean to. It might just be because I’m tired but I cannot for the life of me think of a term to refer to the broader gay community.

I’m referring to everyone who is represented under the LGBT community.

Is lgbt community right?

I tried google and that gave me “the gays” which seems wrong.
