An honest discussion on guns what are your thoughts?
I don’t have a problem with guns themselves. If you want one for personal protection, a handgun should be enough. If you live on a large property and need to protect livestock, or hunt there could be a specific license for that. Hunting rifles outside of certain situations could be securely stored in designated facilities and checked out when needed. Collectors and firearm enthusiasts (YouTube people...) who conduct tests/demonstration could have a separate permit to ensure accountability. This approach allows for responsible gun ownership while addressing safety concerns.
Edit: sorry for the confusion there should also be proper education I should have stated that instead of thinking that was implied. The reason I said a handgun should be enough is I feel if someone breaks into your house it's easier to grab a handgun and move around with it then it is a larger hunting rifle. And if you have a larger caliber rifle or even large caliber handgun yes you need to make sure that your shot hits target otherwise it is going to go places.
Edit 2: I mentioned something about shotguns and spray but as a user pointed out in the close proximity of a home invasion spray wouldn't really be something you would have to worry about.
And this isn't a post about if I had the power to stamp my fingers this would be my policy. This was more of a thought I had and jumping off point to have a conversation and help me understand more. I am happy to receive any criticism and education on the subject because that allows me to have a better understanding of the current situation.
