am i right to feel politically homeless?
About me:
son of Vietnamese immigrants who left their home country due to communist repression (grandfather were south vietnamese army officers put into commie gulags after the war) and my family came to the States under the ODP/HO program of the Reagan administration. My family all naturalized before I was born.
I was an eagle scout in my teen years (my eagle project was about building computer systems for an American legion outpost)
I am also a medical student at a respected institution in heartland America
I also took a commission in the US army medical corps to take care of soldiers in any future conflicts, and proudly wear the OCPs of my country
Even after all this, I feel the leftist demographic hates what I stand for, while the American Right hates me due to my cultural background and certain "ethnic" characteristics.
