Aitah for kinda wanting to see social security be removed?

Yes it’s horrible, yes it’s unfair, yes it’s cruel, but these old people I know, all are so damn far right and racist to me and voted for trump. They’re all reeling after seeing reports of trump firing republicans from the IRS and republicans from the federal government.

Is it bad that I want to see them not have any recourse so that I can tell them to pull them up by their bootstraps and work hard like I did and scrimp and save 30k/year on a ~100k pre tax salary?

I’m 23 and liberal and I never really understood social security cuz it seemed like a pyramid scheme to me but also I’m annoyed these boomers are telling me they already bought a home by 22 and I’m late… I have 50k in savings and only worked for 1 year. I started side hustles with the intention of saving for a home back in college. These boomers that give me shit for being worse than them worked at a grocery store and as a driver for groceries when they were my age. I work on defense tech and have a bachelor’s. It’s so dumb that they don’t understand what the reality of life is in 2025 and I want them to face the music for just a weeeee bit to put them in their place.
